My friend used to suffer from panic attacks. Regularly.
He was quite scary to be around when they happened. He'd get short of breath and then start to show signs of dizziness. He'd been to see the doctor but all they wanted to do was prescribe him some drugs that "may" help with his problem.
Both of us are open to alternative ideas. After all, things like acupuncture have been around a lot longer than Western medicine. I'd already used a hypnosis script on my friend and this had helped him a bit. We'd also tried breathing techniques - taking a few deep breaths when he felt a panic attack coming on, that kind of thing. These worked well in "rehearsal" and - when my friend remembered to breathe - they worked pretty in real life as well. But remembering to breathe isn't the first thing on your mind when a panic attack sets in.
Over time, his panic attacks became less severe and didn't happen quite so often. But they still happened and this bugged me.
So I promised to go on a search for some other ideas to help him get over his panic attacks once and for all. Not the "cover it up and hope it goes away" solution of anxiety relief drugs. But a real solution that worked and stopped the darn things for good.
As part of my research I came across a report that made the bold promise that my friend's next panic attack would only last a few seconds and that it would also be his last panic attack. Ever.
"Yeah, right" I thought.
If that's true, why are doctors still prescribing expensive drugs that don't work that well?
But nothing ventured, nothing gained. We could always take the guy up on his refund guarantee if the report was rubbish.
So I bought it for my friend.
Together, we went through the techniques described (sure, you could go through it on your own, but I find it's best if someone else is there to support you).
That was months ago now.
Much to the surprise of both myself and my friend, the techniques really did work. My friend has been free from panic attacks for so long that he can't remember the last time he suffered one.
You can check out the report we used here. I can't stress enough how much it helped my friend overcome his panic attacks and how fast it worked. It'll probably help you with your panic attacks too.
